This December, we’ve planned a few quiet touches to make your Christmas in Manly one you’ll carry with you. A beautifully decorated tree in your room, carols as the light turns to gold, a glass of champagne beneath the lobby tree and a celebratory lunch by the water.
A Tree in Full Bloom
Step into the lobby and the season has already begun. Our Christmas tree, styled by Grandiflora’s Saskia Havekes, stands at the heart of the hotel, dressed in live florals and seasonal greenery. Fresh, fragrant and framed by the ocean beyond, it’s the first of the small details that make Christmas at Elysium feel lived in rather than looked at.
Christmas Carols at Golden Hour
As the light softens, the evening finds its festive mood. Soft jazz carols drift across 55 North as a glass is poured for you. There’s no program, just a daily ritual to drift down to, and the hour becomes the marker of your stay.

On Christmas Day, lunch is the occasion, and the choice is yours. Enjoy the finest Australian seafood at the water’s edge at Bistro Manly, or settle in for an Italian sharing menu at Cibaria, with the waterfront beyond. Whichever table you choose, the day is made to be savoured.

A seafood lunch at the water’s edge, built around the best of Australian produce. West Australian rock lobster, an oyster bar of regional varieties and a sashimi bar of southern bluefin tuna sit alongside a carvery of slow-roasted classics. The afternoon closes with Christmas puddings, petit fours and a fromage selection.
